I spent 2 weeks on the beautiful greek island Rhodes. Blue sea, gorgeus beaches, nice people (especially after big city where I live). I relaxed as much as I forgot to buy some souvenirs and sea sponge I wanted.
A walk to art shops gave me a lot of ideas for decoupage. I take some pictures of them. They are really beautiful
Now I want to introduce Shelley - creative blogger and wonderful mom of two children. You can visit her blog where she write about her family and home and give some insight into the lives of a special needs children. Also you can take a look to her blog about playgrounds

Silver Rose, Karen, Rhodes is a amazing place for vacation! But I prefer to write in my blog only about hand works, not about personal things. Although I believe I will return to Rhodes holiday theme in the future posts

Hello Yana, I need your help:)I understand maybe this page is not for helping, but..I am crazy for decoupage, but I can't found were I can order or buy all supplies. I am living in Crete. And I hope you can give me some advises?
ReplyDeletegretamis, you don't need special supplies. I buy the most of them in bookstores and household shops. You can write me in greek if it's easier for you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic trip! I love the earth tones of the items in the last picture! Very inspiring groupings, thanks for sharing, Jamie.
ReplyDeleteI am feeling very nostalgic. I am greek and my family is from the island of Corfu. I spent many lazy summers as a child on the island. Looking at the pictures of the ceramic plates brings back memories. My grandfather use to paint plates and paintings for the local tourist shops. I use to sit on his lap and paint with him. Thanks for the memory! Angela
ReplyDeleteAngela, come back :) What's your name in greek? Aggeliki?
